SDHHC has some really nice BHO in at the moment..$45/gram BHO! And you can even split your gram! I got a half Lemon Wax, half Purple Lady Wax gram the other day. Both are extremely potent and can cause intense sensations that range anywhere from gnarley head rushes to a complete mind and body shut-down. The Lemon Wax looks like what Slimer would leave behind and almost feels like it has the consistency of applesauce. It's not stringy at all and is easily scooped up like a spoon full of pudding! The taste is straight Lemony Snickits! It really doesn't get any tastier than this. The Lemon is crazy expansive and will cause your heart to race after a fat hit and hold in, maybe even some brain bubbles..lol. The Purple Lady has more of a waxy consistency to it and is super sticky, stringy and stretchy to the touch. Its color is a darker military green and appears to have a marble finish to it. Its taste is not as pronounced as the Lemon's, but you do get a nice faint purp flavor..at least I do out of a bell with a titanium skillet. The effect from the Purple Lady was definitely more of an indica high. It calmed me down substantially after experimenting with the Lemon. This would be your PM wax verses the Lemon being more of an sativa AM medication.

I'm a hound for concentrates, especially BHO aka Wax! Unfortunately due to the growing demand for high-quality trim and the skyrocketing prices, clubs are forced to raise their donation prices to a less than affordable rate. It's good to know "Some Shops" like SDHHC are still making it easy for their members to get what they need.

Ps..The last time I was in they didn't seem like they had much left, so I'd go soon if you wanna get in on the action.

Frosty Farms Cooperative

4.6 stars / out of 5.0 stars

Lately I haven't felt the need to venture outside of my regular medicinal pit stops, but after hearing all the hoopla about this place from my fellow weedmappers, well needless to say I broke the cycle! Frosty Farms is located in Serra Mesa, off of Balboa and right by the 163 freeway. They're up the stairs on the second floor of a large office building facing the street. The waiting room has a couple leather couches, some reading material, and the frostiest air conditioning in town ;). Other than that the place was very clean-cut and to the point. The verification process was fairly quick and after filling out a few sheets of paper, I was admitted into their Nug Room. It was there where I met with Craig and Mark, both of which were very professional, knowledgeable and extremely easy to talk to. Since I was the only patient in at the moment, I had the pleasure of being tended to by both of them. Just about every flower I saw had a noticeable shimmer to it. I now know why Frosty Farms doesn't have a lit magnifying glass to get a closer look...cause you don't need it! The gorgeous bulbous trichs are so well pronounced on the majority of their flowers, that they're easily viewed with the naked eye. Most clubs don't even have one strain that's comparable with what's glistening at the Farm. Frosty Farms offers first timers a $45 top shelf eighth or a free gram with the purchase of a $55 capped eighth. I ended up going with an eighth split of their Jack Herer, which is a remarkable example of the late great strain. I've only seen one other batch this year that could rival the beauty of the Farm's batch and after sticking my beak in the jar, I knew I wasn't going to leave without some. The initial taste is a tingly sweet and skunky sensation that falls off a bit upon exhale and bares a slight grassy flavor. The high is very upbeat and great for AM relief. I work in a fast-paced environment and cherish a med that allows me to remain my normal affable self without the antsy overkill that some sativas can bring. The Shaman Kush I picked up has a very different and offbeat odor that smells like a mixture of moldy cheese, stinky feet and a strong peppery mint. The flower itself appears to have a white sheen to it due to the abundance of the sugary trichs that reside on each leaf and pistil. When smoked, the Shaman reveals its kush side and bares more of an earthy/floral/fruity taste rather than the funky/minty/cheesy smell it packs. One bowl left me pretty toasted and I stayed that way for quite some time. All in all I'd have to say that Frosty Farms is a must visit and if a $45 eighth of bud that looks too good to even smoke doesn't entice you, then you really are missing out.

ps...They have some Tahoe OG in that looks absolutely amazing and the only reason I didn't get any was because I felt it still needs another 6-7 days of curing, but I'll definitely be back to sample some when it's ready.

Farm Associated Collective, Inc.

4.6 stars / out of 5.0 stars

This was my first trip to the Farm and coincidentally their grand 4/20 re-opening. The Farm, until now had always been a private collective on a referral only basis. Now it is open to everyone! The Farm is conveniently located in Clairemont off of Balboa Ave., right behind Coco's and the Auto Zone. There's also a huge lot back there so you won't run into any issues with parking. The Farm itself is located upstairs and on the left hand side of a large office building.

Once inside, my friend and I were greeted by a friendly girl working the front who took our rec's and asked to see two forms of ID (be sure to bring two forms of ID), luckily I had my passport on me. The waiting room is fairly small, but still able to accommodate up to 3-4 members, comfortably. The room itself is very clean, organized and there's plenty of reading material to flip through. The paperwork I was given to fill out was more like a packet! I initialed my name more times here than any other club I've ever been to. Be careful not to initial the two highlighted rules without reading them first, as they are optional. After filling out the necessary paperwork, we had a brief wait before being admitted into the nug room. Once in the nug room, we were welcomed by the entire staff, handshakes and smiles all around. The nug room is also fairly small, but like the waiting room, it's big enough. Our BT Dave was very professional and knowledgeable of the strains he was tending to. They carry about 20 different strains now, which I heard is a lot more than they used to have. They've also now implemented a $60 cap, where it used to be $50. I don't have a problem paying $60 if the meds are up to par and believe me when I say that they Are up to par. The majority of the top shelf meds I saw were of high quality and I even saw some 55's and 50's that were nice as well. I actually ended up going with one of their 50 dollar options. It's been a while since I had some good Cat Piss and as much as I wanted to get one of their top shelf flowers, the Cat Piss with its sour stench and frosted light green coloring just completely won me over. The only flaw to this batch was that it was a little dry and crisp on the outside and that's probably the reason for the $50 price tag. I was still happy with my selection and in addition to my eighth, I also received a free gram, nice! I was pretty surprised when I got home and pulled out my gram freebie labeled B. OG. Most clubs usually give you the worst of the worst as a first time gift, but that was not the case at the Farm. The Banana OG was easily identified with its pungent banana carmex lip balm odor and sweet nutty OG taste. My buddy went with a gram of their Sour D X Chem which was out of this world. I too would've probably gotten some if I didn't already have a good amount of Sour D and other OG X's at my disposal, not to mention the lure of the Cat Piss. The Cat Piss I got ended up having a real tangy and earthy taste to it, which I like. It gave me a huge burst of energy that yanked me out of the sleepy-state I was in and helped me focus enough to actually finish this review! This strain is perfect for patients who medicate during business hours, but still need to stay alert and on point.

I really enjoyed my trip to the Farm and I'm looking forward to my next visit. The meds are top notch, the staff is easygoing and actually knows what they're talking about, unlike some clubs! My only gripe with the Farm is that they don't weigh out the meds in front of you. Instead, meds are weighed (maybe pre-weighed??) in another room and distributed to the BT through a small opening in the wall. I was also kind of bummed that they don't let you split eighths. I usually like to pick up at least two strains at a time and not have to spring for a quarter just to get some variety. Regardless of this, I know I will still be coming back for more, even if it is just a single strain eighth.

I had to work on 4/20 so I got a late start to all the fun and festivities, but the fellas and flowers at SDHHC made up for it. I walked in with a buddy of mine right at 4:20pm and Eddie had bowls ready for both of us to ring in the day at the right moment. They looked like they had had a busy day thus far, most of their jars were down towards the bottom of the barrel. Lucky for us, Ryan was in the process of refilling all the jars. Holistic Healing added a variety of yummy new meds to their menu for 4/20, like their $20/$60 Nixon OG and Fire OG, also their $18/$50 Band Master and Ogur Kush. The Band Master in particular caught my eye and is a steal at $50/eighth. These big, chunky, gooey buds reak of Sour OG. Its swollen, olive green calyxes take on a lighter shade of green due to the thick layer of trichs that overwhelm each bud. The trim job is adequate, but could use a little more love. I manicured a nug myself and was wowed by the inner beauty of this batch. Not only did I get a chunky $50/eighth of the Band Master, they also threw in a free half gram of their GDP Bubble Hash and two Indica THC Capsules as a 4/20 incentive!

The Band Master I got ended up tasting just like it smelled. Real sour inhale with earthy and citrus OG undertones on the exhale. Great expansion, but at the same time was still smooth and easy on the throat. The effects are of a strong indica high that left me heavy-headed, lazy and stuck watching shows on TV I normally wouldn't watch..lol. The GDP bubble has a pliable dark brown exterior with a lighter brown inside. I smoked it on a screen and though it doesn't melt down, it does bubble a bit and produce a thick sweet white smoke that gave me an awesome head change and left me lit. Not the best tasting bubble I've gotten from SDHHC, but hey it was free. I haven't had a chance to try the THC Pills yet, but when I do I will update my review. I was actually thinking twice about posting this review so soon because I wanted a chance to go back and pick-up some more of the Band Master before it's all gone. If you're into Headband or other sour/citrus tasting strains, then this is the bud for you! Don't forget to go on Sunday's and get $5 off your eighth, up to two eighths. That means $90 for a quarter of the Band Master!

So finally! The long awaited and highly anticipated practice run of our first legit quest, complete with confirmation. I really wish there could have been more of us present to bask in all of its glory!

Light the Way is located in Sorrento Valley near El Camino Cemetery. It does get a little tricky once you pass the Cemetery and to tell you the truth, if we had not been with Malibu, a returning member with a GPS, we probably would've never found the place. The upside to this secluded club is that there's plenty of parking. LTW offers a spacious waiting room, complete with couches, flat screen, reading material, and my personal favorite..weedmaps stickers! The verification process was fairly easy and after signing 2 or 3 sheets of paper, HBFan, Malibu and I were admitted into the nug room. Mr. Nice joined us soon afterward. When we walked into the nug room, I was a little put off by the large boarded up windows. That was until Christina explained what had happened. Apparently they were burglarized over night and the assailants had smashed like 3 or 4 of their windows!! Incredibly they got away with nothing. I think it's pretty cool when a club undergoes such a travesty and still has the gumption to open their doors for patients, so hats off to LTW for that!

The staff at LTW seemed very chill, especially our BT, Christina aka "The Machine". She was very down to earth, extremely talkative and eager to light the way for us. LTW carries around 25-30 strains that range from their bottom shelf $30/eighths to their $55 capped top shelf flowers. Buds are not pre-weighed, but kept out of reach, so they operate on a "ask to see" basis. Nevertheless, Christina brought out jar after jar for us to inspect, I only wish they would've had a lit magnifying glass to allow us a better look at each flower. I felt the room was dimly lit for a "nug room" and without any real concentrated source of light, I found myself using the sun shining through one of their still standing windows. While inspecting their strains, I witnessed one of their BT's who was transferring buds from a larger jar into a smaller one, actually smashing them down to make more room! When we said something to him about it, he said that they have to do that because members are always coming in wanting ounces and they they need to keep a lot stocked?? I would rather wait 10 minutes for the BT to get my fluffy ounce from the back room, than get an ounce of crushed and manhandled meds in a couple minutes. The majority of the strains I viewed were pretty leafy and unsavory anyway, even their "Private Reserve" options lacked the pop that earns a batch that particular title. I actually told Christina that their SFV OG smelled like a Ultra Wide Magnum 44 Permanent Marker!! Now we all know that OG's don't smell anything like that. That strong licorice odor reminded me more of a Durban Poison that any OG. Even the other OG's they had smelled a little off in one way or another. It really came down to two strains for me and even then I only opted for a gram. Their Blackberry and Green Crack were both decent flowers with good smells and good coloring, but $20/$55 still seems a little steep for a decent flower. I ended up going with the Blackberry because I figured if I was going to pay that much, it might as well be on an indica right? As a first time freebie, Christina weighed me out a 1.6, which is cool, but I think I would've rather just gotten a discount on my gram. LTW doesn't carry edibles, tinctures or any real concentrates for that matter. They had some hash, but I don't think anyone knew what kind it was. The Blackberry is extremely dense/tight with purple hues and sugary trichs, it really doesn't look that bad at all under a light. Its berry/purp smell was a little faint and can't truly be detected without a squeeze. I went with a clean glass pipe for the taste test, just to make sure I'd get the full flavor and effect. On the inhale you get a pinch of something that makes you think you're going to get a berry taste...and then then you don't. What you're left with is a harsh smokey taste in your mouth and the feeling of being robbed of what you could have had...something tasty! The OG Kush HBFan got was even worse! Mildly sluggish highs on both of them.

In conclusion, I feel like LTW is just too far off the grid for a club that offers nothing more than a chill BT. Like a high guy once said: "If you don't have a pot of gold or somethin' at the end of that rainbow, well...what's gonna keep me coming back??" pssss...That high guy's me. It really is a shame too, cause if Christina were to budtend at a club with real, high quality meds, I'd probably go there all the time.

4.0 stars / out of 5.0 stars

The last stop on a tour I did last Sunday with Headbandfan, Mr.nice215 and Malibu91 was San Diego Discount Caregivers, aka "The Bank". They call it "The Bank" because it actually used to be a bank. They're conveniently located off of University and in the very heart of North Park. Parking is not an issue because there's a huge private parking lot behind "The Bank".

Malibu being the only one of us who's already been, had the pleasure of referring all 3 of us. Once inside, we were greeted by a girl working the front who had us verified and off to the nug room fairly quickly. Now this is where things got a little hazy..I had a powerful cannabis infused concoction earlier in the day and it was at this time that it really started to take its toll. I mean, I remember them having a nice sized nug room and all, but I don't remember anything about the set-up or the BT. Nothing really stood out to me as far as the staff or the way the club looked from the inside. What I do remember is that they had a nice variety of flowers that ranged from their lower end $40/eighths to their $60 cap. The majority of the top shelf strains I viewed were decent, but the only one that really caught my eye, was the 707 Herojuana. It packed a pungent odor that was similar to that of a Kush and the calyxes on these dense gooey buds were just exploding off the stem. Though I wasn't really planning on getting anything, I bit the bullet and ended up splitting an eighth of it with HBFan. As a first time freebie, we were all given free gram samples of their BlackBerry Diesel, which was on the lower end, but I guess I can't really complain right?. I haven't gotten around to sampling it yet and I can't say that I'm in a hurry to. When we got back to my house to split the eighth, we were all a little surprised to see that the eighth was actually short by a point or two, which is not the end of the world, but I do expect to at least get what I paid for, even if it is just One Point. I guess that's just the chance you take when the meds aren't weighed out in front of you. To top it all off, after sampling the Herojuana, I found it to be bland and tasteless. It got me irie, but it's just not what I'm looking for at that price.

I hate judging a club on just one strain and would love to come back and check out some of their other top shelf options, but unless I use that coupon from the City Beat or they lower their cap, I can't see myself dishing out the ends for another gamble with my meds.

The next stop on a tour I did last Sunday with Headbandfan, Mr.nice215 and Hashley, was The Green Door. This was my first visit to the Green Door and since they're a private club, I have HBfan and Hashley to thank for the referral. We all know parking can be a little hectic on Adams Avenue, so if luck isn't on your side you'll probably have to find a spot on one of the side streets and walk a little. The club is really easy to find though, just look for the all black front with the big green door!

Once inside the waiting room, I was given some easy paperwork to fill out and verified soon after. Pretty quick process! The nug room is huge and has a real comfortable vibe to it. There's just so much to look at, the place is really quite unique. They have a bar with vaporizers and other smoking devices you can use to sample your purchased meds. On top of that you've got one of our very own, Drewballz as a BT! You really can't beat that and it was great to finally met the guy. He was very laid back and instead of having to ask him to see every jar, he just started showing us the best of the best, one after another and we passed them each around for a good inspection. I was very impressed with the quality of the flowers we were shown, even at 60 bucks a pop, I saw some strains that looked and smelled worthy of their donation price tag. Especially the Green Door OG, which is what HBFan and I ended up splitting an eighth of. The stench from this batch of OG is a very robust mix of citrus, pine and earthiness that causes the eyes to flutter when smelled. The buds were left a tad leafy, but this is ok when they're wearing a thick coat of trichs. The taste was very similar to its smell with an earthy and piney after taste. The high left me pretty light headed at first, then worked its way into my neck and shoulders allowing some deep relaxation.

No first time freebie, but Drew graciously tipped the scales in our favor when it came to weighing our meds. I ended up with a 2.2 for $30 and that ain't bad at all! I would really like to see this club implement some sort of special, like a day when you can get 5 or 10 bucks off your eighth. This would give me a great reason to walk thru that door again.

This was my second trip back to OHC and this time around I had the pleasure of meeting up with Headbandfan, StayinThrowedAG with his girl jm619, and Hashley with her friend on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I showed up with HBFan and as soon as we walked in, the doors were a buzzin', we were buzzed right back to the nug room! Gus and John are such stand-up guys and are always eager to welcome their members with smiles and handshakes upon arrival.

One of the main reasons behind this visit, besides meeting up with some fellow weedmappers and scooping up a Sunday $45/eighth, was to check out the Bhang Lassi everyone's been raving about. I think Gus even knew this, he must have because within 10 minutes of being there, I had a nice cold cup of Bhang staring me down. I actually didn't know very much at all about this drink at the time, I just knew it was going to rock my world for about 15 hours. Surprisingly, this milk and cannabis based concoction is actually not that bad tasting. It tasted like an evil Horchata if that's any help. I started to feel the first effects of the Bhang about 30 to 45 minutes after consuming it. It felt as if a strong edible was starting to take hold of me, but it was more than just a mellow body high. I felt heavy headed, lazy, drowsy, and not myself. I'm usually very talkative when medicated, but for some reason the Bhang just seemed to shut me down. 4-5 hours later I still felt the same effects from earlier, if not stronger versions. That night I was able to fall asleep very easily and slept like a baby. The next morning I woke up and still felt some faint effects from the drink! What a trip that was.

For my Sunday $45/eighth split, I went with their Bubba Kush and Super OG. I really wanted to get some of their Oasis OG, but it still smelled pretty fresh/moist and feel it could have probably been cured a little longer. The Bubba had a very fragrant earthy/kushy aroma that had me sold after one whiff. The buds are olive green with thick dark amber/chocolate colored pistils and caked with milky trichomes. The taste is very sweet with an earthy/kushy exhale that doesn't fall short. The high is stupid stoney and made my eyelids droop immediately. The Super OG (should call it Popcorn OG) has that strong lemon/pine-sol smell that just seduces the senses. This batch is also packing a nice earthy flavor that lingers in your mouth. I got real lazy after medicating with the Super and after a couple more bowls I was drifting in and out of sleep at the computer.

Besides the $45/eighth I got and the free Bhang Lassi, Gus also gave us all some tasty Fruity Pebble treats. Man, that guy is generous! He really knows how to keep us coming back!

This was the last stop on a tour I did with Headbandfan and Mr.nice215 last Wednesday. We were on the other side of town when we decided to go and with only 25 minutes before Fourty Two closed, HBFan made the call to see if they could stay open a little later for us. Whoever answered the phone said it wouldn't be a problem and we actually ended up making it in before the original deadline. It's been a while since my last visit to Forty Two and a lot has changed. They've switched ownership and also made some new additions to the shop. I had to be re-verified, but that ended up benefiting me because first timers get a free gram of their choice. On top of that, Forty Two offers two daily happy hours that drop the eighth donation price down to $45 instead of their $55 cap. So be sure to stop by during their first hour of operation or their last. The new set-up they have is a little different, but it works. Instead of the BT behind a bar, he's actually standing next to you as you view the meds they have positioned on a shelf system. Pretty basic, but straight to the point, the top shelf meds are on the Top Shelf! They don't carry many strains, but the strains they do have are quality. The GDP, Venom OG, Diamond OG, OG Headband, Grape Ape, XXX Diesel, and Purple Master Kush are all excellent $55 options and are steals at $45. I ended up going with a split eighth of their Diamond OG and GDP and as for my free gram, I went with the Vemon OG.

The GDP I got was so bomb, it's definitely my favorite out of the three. It's completely dark purple and reeks of that infamous purp odor. I got one chunky, solid two gram nug of it that was just sparkling with trichs. The taste was exactly what you'd expect from a quality GDP, full in purp flavor with a hint of spiciness. The high is very overpowering and will put you down for a nice long nap. The Diamond OG is a great looking and smelling OG. It has that pine/citrus aroma with a hint of earthiness that is present in its taste as well. Buds are medium sized, dense, nicely trimmed, and sticky to the touch. The high was very relaxing and also stimulated my appetite. The Vemon OG is equally as bomb as the Diamond, but is a little leafier and packs a different smell. I got more of a spicy aroma with light sweet citrus notes. The high was hard-hitting and sleep inducing, just the way I like it.

Hats off to Shaggy and Don for the after-hour vip service and quality meds. I will definitely be back to see what other new dank strains they have in store for us and you should too!

The third stop on a tour I did this last Wednesday with Headbandfan and Mr.nice215 was Green Joy. Green Joy is located of off Convoy, but secluded in one of the many Asian shopping centers on that street. It was a little difficult to find and the fact that they don't have a sign pointing out which lot to turn in to, adds to the grief. Just when we thought we had found the right parking lot, we were wrong and had to walk over to the next one. The club itself is tucked away in the back left hand corner of the lot.

When we walked in I think we surprised the BT. Hey, maybe he's never seen that many patients walk through the door at one time. Verification took a little longer than I expected and a patient who arrived while we were waiting was actually admitted before us?? When it was finally our turn, we were sent through a door to the nug room where the receptionist Tom, magically transformed into our BT. The nug room was very spacious and I really like the way everything was set-up. They had about 30 strains in large jars that were lined up down the bar beginning with their top shelf options. So me and boys got right down to business and started popping tops. The first couple of strains I viewed were either poor organic excuses or so packed into their jar, the lid was crushing what little trichs were left on them. I even brought this to Tom's attention and he didn't seem very worried. The rest of their 60 dollar strains were so lifeless and embarrassing for that amount, we didn't even want to see the low grade options. After beating around the bush for some time, we explained to the BT that we would not be getting anything and I tell you, he looked pretty shocked. There was a last minute attempt by the BT to interest us in a free gram and though we really didn't want it, We took it. I felt like I had to, poor old Tom was so sad we could find anything, he had to send us packing with something. After examining this Hindu Kush, I found it to be one of the worst samples I've ever received. It had an ugly brown tint to it and smelled like some moldy peppermint. The high....you gotta be kidding me if you think I smoked that stuff!

In conclusion I feel this place is in need of a serious overhaul. Donation prices need to be lowered if quality flowers aren't going to be hired. I find it really hard to believe this place still exists.

The second stop on a tour I did with Headbandfan and Mr.nice215 last Wednesday was SDGCC. Their location is pretty conveniently located right of off Convoy and in the same parking lot as JP's Bait and Tackel. If you have a compact car, parking will be easier, but is you have a big car or truck, forget about it! Parking spots are super tight and make the simple act of backing up a mundane task. The club has a huge tinted window in front, but from the inside you feel like everyone outside can see you. They have a couple couches in the waiting room where HBFan and I comfortably filled out the necessary paperwork. Mr.nice was referring us so after a simple flash of his ID, he was waiting on us. We were verified shortly after and admitted into their nug room.

Once inside the nug room, we were given a run-down on their clones, edibles, concentrates, and flowers. Both BT's were quick to point us in the right direction and immediately started showcasing their top shelf strains. I must say that the quality of their high-end strains do in fact fit the bill. I'm starting to get to the point where even bomb $60/eighths aren't flying with me, not when clubs are knocking it out with 50-55 dollar ones! But the quality was definitely there and when quality is there, I don't mind dropping an extra 5 bucks my first time there. The G13, Princess Purple, Diablo OG, and Purple Lights are all equally stunning flowers with monstrous odors. Especially the G13, I think I liked it best because it smells similar to some Lemon G13 I've been in love with lately. It smells like straight citrus hand soap!! The buds are a little fluffy and leafy, but coated with a good amount of gooey trichomes that bring a certain shine to it. I ended up splitting an eighth with HBFan cause neither of us really wanted to go all out. He got some Purple Lights that had a real funky smell to it, a smell none of us could really pinpoint. I heard muscle powder, burnt bacon, well whatever it was it smelled intriguing and looked even more so. With the first time deal the eighth came to $55 and after a little confusion trying to split the bill, the donation price dropped to $50..Now we're talking! The BT's also threw in a couple bags of their Canna-butter Popcorn.

The G13 I got ended up coming through in a major way. I was very impressed with its sweet, spicy, citrusy, long lasting flavor from start to finish. The high would be ideal for the average wake n baker. It's not very overpowering and instead delivers more of a heady-uplifting feel. The Popcorn I scarfed down was ok I guess, it actually tasted pretty good until you got about halfway through the bag. The effects were next to none, I ate it towards the end of work so I could really put it to the test and I felt nothing more than a few irie vibes. Overall, I feel this club could definitely be a contender, especially if they were to offer some type of special incentive..like $50 or $55 eighths on certain days or hours of the day. Either that or just drop the cap to $55.

This was the first stop on a tour I did with Headbandfan and Mr.nice215 last Wednesday afternoon. They're located in Kearny Mesa off of Convoy and right by the CarMax. The club itself is on the second floor of a large office building and there's plenty of private parking in the back so not to worry. Once inside the waiting room we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who had me verified in a matter of minutes. The waiting room isn't huge, but it's clean, professional and gave off a warm welcoming vibe which is always good. The bud room is in fact very huge and also offers that same cozy feeling. There was another member ahead of us so there was a little wait, but nothing out of the ordinary. Plus there was plenty of reading material and things to look at during the small wait.

Once it was our turn, I was introduced to Matt, their BT, who was very welcoming and eager to show me what SDS was all about. New members get either a $40/eighth or a free gram with the purchase of an eighth. After looking at just about every strain, I have to say that the Private Reserve OG ($20/$55) took the cake. Just a beautiful representation of a quality OG, complete with smell (sweet pine, earth, garlic), texture (fresh and sticky), and appearance (well manicured and loaded with trichs). Unfortunately this OG is not a part of the $40/eighth deal, so HBFan and I ended up splitting a $55/eighth of it, which isn't bad, but I would've rather had an eighth to myself ;^). Matt ended up taking care of me another way so it really worked out in my favor! Since I still had some left over cash from splitting the eighth, I also halved a gram of their Bubba Kush Bubble Hash ($25g) with HBFan. I really don't like getting hash unless I can feel it and most places don't like you manhandling the product. I didn't know the protocol of this club, so I placed my judgment in looks and since the hash rattled around a bit in its plastic container, I also had to rely on Matt's judgment for its real texture and potency. The Hash ended up being pretty pliable once handled, but it didn't have much of a bubble when heated up. The high gave me a nice soaring feeling, but seemed to fall off a lot quicker than I'm used to. The OG was tasty with early pine notes and finishing on more of a spicy note. The high was medium, it didn't really blow me away, but I had a nice mellow buzz going that left me rather relaxed, but not sleepy.

Overall, I feel this club is more than worthy of a trip when in the area, I just wish they'd invest in more quality flowers, not just one. I'd rather pay $60 for an eighth of fire than $55 for something that could be better.

I was having dinner down the street and realized I didn't bring an after dinner bowl..so I felt a trip to FSC was in order. As soon as I walked in, Skee spotted me and let me right into the bud room. The place is looking better and better every time I stop by. I was only on the hunt for a gram, but I wanted to make sure I got the Best gram. After going over the entire fresh selection, it was the True OG ($20/$55) that stood out to me the most. Nice frosty decent sized nuggs and a fresh earthy OG aroma to boot. I didn't really see anything else too amazing besides the OG so that's what I rolled with. Skee was real chill about letting me peep every strain they had and as always, is more than generous when it comes to weighing my meds. After leaving, I went on a little stroll to sample the True and True it was. The taste was full bodied and held its earthy and citrusy flavor from inhale to exhale. It wasn't too expandable in my lungs, but it did have a delayed choke to it. The high hit me first in my face, around the eyes and temples, then worked its way into a nice warm body high that was felt mostly in my arms and shoulders. It actually made me very hungry again and I was tempted to pick up another burger! If you're in the area and looking for some inexpensive and dank OG to stimulate your appetite, then look no further than the True OG at Fresh Selection.

The third and final stop on my tour with Headbandfan and Mr.nice215 yesterday was WCC. They're located off of El Cajon Blvd. and right by the 15 freeway. It's a mission from where I live in P.B., but since we were in the area, we decided to check them out. It's not in the greatest of areas and parking can also be an issue, we had to park across the street and down about a block. This might be one of those clubs you want to visit before sundown. Once inside the collective we were quickly verified and admitted into their nug room. The waiting room was small, but still big enough for the three of us to sit comfortably and fill out the necessary paperwork. The nug room was a lot bigger and painted in a nice green and white color that I felt was soothing to the eye. No clutter on the walls, besides a sick blunt banner they had hanging, the place was pretty clean cut and to the point. After meeting Andy, I noticed that they only had about 8-9 strains on the menu and I was curious as to why they have so many listed on weedmaps. That's when Andy told us what had happened. Apparently earlier in the day, Andy was robbed, not at the club, but while he was transferring his meds out of his car!! All 27 of them!! It's really unbelievable to me how he was able to secure some bomb emergency meds in such short notice. I have to hand it to Andy for still coming to work and opening for business after his unfortunate ordeal. WCC's cap is $55 and they have a deal where you can get 4 grams for an extra $5. Also, first timers get a free gram of your choice if you spend $50 or more. I ended up getting an eighth split of their Monkey Balls and Lemon Skunk. For my free gram I went with the Super Silver Haze which was very nice. Andy hooked it up too, I ended up getting almost 6 grams for $60!! Mr.nice215 only bought a gram and Andy still gave him a free gram too, now that's compassion. WCC also carries edibles, sodas, clones, and some concentrates. Check them out if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed.

The Monkey Balls was probably my favorite of the three. I'm not sure of the true lineage behind this strain, but if feel it looks and smells similar to the Mendo Purps and it may even have a little blueberry in there. Buds are dense purple and almost completely covered with golden hairs and milky trichs. The taste is a little mild, but you do get a tinge of that universal purp flavor. The high was mellow and felt more heady and sativa like. The Lemon Skunk is a mouthwatering flower with its fresh light green buds, thick orange pistils and pungent citrus aroma. Buds look like they've been sprinkled with frosty white trichomes. There were some citrus notes on the inhale, but was lost on the exhale and substituted with more of a spicy smoke. The high was heavy-hitting and the head change was very noticeable immediately after exhaling. I could see smoking this as a PM med, but without the sleepy effect. Their Super Silver Haze is a great representation of the strain, one of the best I've seen yet. The only downside to the flower was its texture, it was crisp and a little dried out. Other than that the Haze was on point. I got one fat gram bud of it and it's just bubbling with calyxes. It also has a good amount of sparkly trichs that give it that "WoW factor". I really got a strong scent of that metallic/silver smell mixed with a little haze. The taste was smooth and easy on the throat and lungs, not expandable at all. I could taste some metallicness, but it was pretty faint. The high was purely facial and brought me back up after medicating with some indicas. This would be a great wake and baker.

This was the second leg on a tour I did with Headbandfan and Mr.nice215 yesterday. OHC is a little out of the way , but definitely worth the drive or a visit if in the area. They don't look like much from the outside and even the inside is small with a basic set-up. Verification was a breeze and before we knew it, we were checking out the goods and goods they were. Once in the nug room, I was introduced to Gus, their owner, who was very generous and had a huge bong load with a healthy glob of wax waiting for me. Not to mention the infused chocolate we got to sample (nice treats Zombiemz). I swear it had some cayenne pepper in it. After eating it, it stayed in my throat for a while and even burned a bit. It tasted great though and seemed to take its effect on me while still at the club. I was blown away by the heat OHC is packing, every strain I smelled had its own unique odor and appearance. They don't really have much of a selection, but what little they have is extremely bomb, especially the Lemon G-13. This is some of the best bud I've seen, smelled or smoked in a long time..wow that's really sad. Unfortunately they're currently out of this amazing strain, but should be getting some more in real soon. This is the type of quality flower that's actually worthy of putting on layaway..lol. Thanx for the sample Headband! I tell you, it was pretty hard picking out just one or two strains to part with. The Black Gold, NYC Diesel, Blue Bream, God's Gift, and Chem Dawg were all bangin', but I ended up getting an eighth split of the Blue Dream and NYC Diesel. The best part about these meds is the donation cap: $50!!!!!! They're all $50! Half zips are $160 and wholes are $300, plus you can split them up anyway you'd like!! What more could you ask for right?? The BT's John and Russ are super funny and friendly and were heavy-handed when it came to weighing my meds. The only bad thing I can possibly say about this visit was the fact that the BT put both of my strains in the same bottle?? It wasn't very hard to figure out which was which, but still it was kind of odd. Nevertheless, I will be back soon and hopefully they'll have the Lemon G in stock.

The Blue Dream I got ended up having the same hazy flavors you'd expect from this hybrid, though the fruity/blueberry side was a little faint. The high was very "pick me upish". I actually had a headache before I smoked some and it completely washed it away. The buds themselves are light to olive green with minimal orange to light brown pistils and loaded with sugary trichomes. The smell is on point and better than a lot of the dream I've see going around. The NYC Diesel definitely has that Diesel smell going on, but I don't think it's the NYC. Buds are long, thin and dark green with a sweeter more minty fragrance. Taste was on the mild side, but there were hints of Diesel and an almost grapefruity flavor. The high was somewhat heavy and changed my mood to a more lazy and spaced out vibe. The Lemon G well, the smell speaks for itself. Its strong citrus odor is so overwhelming, there is no way you're leaving without some! It tingles your brain when you take a nice deep whiff. The taste is unreal, I literally had to pinch myself. So lemony, it's almost as if someone sprayed some lemon pledge wood cleaner in your mouth, yup, it's that strong. The high is nice and mellow too, so you can smoke it in the morning, smoke it in the evening, smoke it at supper time!!!! I'm in love.

This was the first stop on a little tour I did with Headbandfan and mrNice215 yesterday. To tell you the truth, when I heard GGR was gonna be one of the clubs on the tour, I was a bit skeptical. The last time I was there, which was when they first opened, left a bad taste in my mouth. We'll I'm here to tell you that things have really changed for the better.

Check-in was fast and the waiting room is still as clean as a doctor's office. They also now have a little library in the corner of the room where you can check out books and return them on your next visit. Once inside the nug room we were greeted by a female BT who's name I can't remember for the life of me. Anyways, the bud room is also very clean and professional looking. Our BT was friendly, knowledgeable and very eager to show us just about every strain in the shop...and we looked at a lot. I was really impressed with the wide variety of flowers they carry, didn't see any concentrates or tinctures though, and only one type of edible (cookie). Flowers are capped at $60 an eighth and they account for a large portion of their "above average" meds. I got the chance to view all of their top shelf options and would have to say that the California Kush, Lemonade, Lime Green OG, and Gaslamp OG were among the better looking and smelling strains. The Lemonade in particular has a very fresh citrus smell that also comes through in taste. I really didn't see anything too amazing so I personally didn't pick up any meds on this visit, but I was still given a free gram sample of their Afgoo which really wasn't that bad. It had a faint Goo smell, but bared a brownish tint. I wouldn't recommend smoking it out of a pipe or bong, but it's pretty smooth in a joint!

Overall, I'd have to say that GGR had definitely made an attempt to change things around since my last visit. No more $75 eighths, if they would just drop their cap by $5-$10 or at least get some fire meds for $60, then I could see coming back here on a regular basis.

I made my usual weekly visit to SDHH to find they have a new batch of Swiss Cheese, now $60 an eighth and definitely better than the last batch. It still has a bit of that chalkiness that their old swiss had, but nowhere near as crumbly. As far as looks go, it's some of the prettiest cheese I've seen around. The Wow factor is at an all time high with this batch and I could definitely see it on the cover of a High Times magazine. It's mostly made up of light greens with small patches of fuchsia. Flowers are neatly trimmed with thin orange-amber colored pistils and completely coated with sparkling clear gooey trichs. The smell is of straight Limburger and you get those same sweet cheesy notes on the inhale. The high is a little heavy for a sativa and will leave you pretty groggy if you're medicating in the AM. Overall the Swiss Cheese is a great strain to wash away a headache or tone you down during the day. I also picked up some of their Jupiter OG $60 which is some real nice stuff. It's very fresh and packs a pungent earthy OG aroma. The smell alone will have you sold. Taste is also a match and grabs you by the throat on exhale, very expandable in the lungs. The high is long lasting and will knock you out after a couple bowls. Great sleeping med.

Gus was the BT on this trip and as always, both of my eighths were .2-.3 over, NICE!! Right as I was leaving Gus asked me if I had ever tried a glycerin drink and after answering no, he actually pulled 10 bucks out of his own wallet and treated me to one...WOW. I went home and was very eager to try the non-carbonated paradise punch. I chilled it and sipped it slowly over the course of about an hour, shaking it slowly to mix in the sediment before each drink. The taste was pretty intense and I found it pretty hard to swallow some down without making a face. Strangely enough though, I found myself kind of getting used to the taste by the end of the drink. Anyways, I waited and waited and waited and after a couple hours I didn't feel anything more than a slight warming sensation in my body. It sort of felt like the feeling you get when you down a beer, 1 beer. This is not the first time I've been let down by a glycerin product, I'm starting to feel like they either don't work on me or I just need a stronger dosage. I've asked around and found it's really quite common for glycerin drinks and tinctures to have mild effects, if none on some patients. Nevertheless, I really appreciate the free Chronic Tonic and the never ending compassion SDHH brings to the table. That's why they're my go to club!

La Jolla Medicinal Cooperative

Finally, another club in the Downtown La Jolla area. It's very convenient for me considering its proximity to where I work. I feel a lot better knowing there are now options close by when I'm in need of meds. They're located on the corner of Pearl and Eads, on the second floor of the same complex Dick's Liquor is in. Once you enter the complex, they're fairly easy to find due to the big sign they have on their door. Parking is not that great so you might have to walk a bit.

The first thing that came to mind once inside the coop was how great the place looked. The waiting room was very clean and well organized with an overall cozy feel to it. The room itself is rather large and equipped with a flat screen, 3 comfy lounge couches, table with reading material, and some beach inspired art adorning the walls. When it came time to be verified, I did encounter some issues. Apparently the guy working the front couldn't get a hold of anyone to confirm my patient status?? He said my Doctor's office was having problems with their system?? Long story short, I ended up waiting a good 15-20 minutes before I got to see any flowers. I don't really know the reason behind the delay so I can't really hold it against anyone.

Instead of being told to enter through a door to a nug room, one of BT's, Tom, actually came out and met me in the waiting room! I like that. After the initial introduction I was led back to the nug room where Tom gave me the low-down on all of their flowers, hash, greener side tinctures, sodas, edibles, and infused body products. They don't carry wax, PHO, or anything like that cause apparently it's against the law?? They have about 38 or so flower strains at the moment, divided into two separate glass cases. Donation prices range from $12/$35 to $25/$60, their cap. The first couple sample jars I opened blew me away. They were off the chain as far as WoW factor goes, hell maybe it's just me, but I felt many of their top shelf strains lacked in aroma and all shared a similar bouquet/grassy odor. Their OG and Master Bubba both had their correct scents, but were faint for the type of quality flower they appeared to be. Organic or hydro growing methods could be the reason for this. Well, I didn't let the smell deter me from trying the Master Bubba. It looked to good to pass up, even at $25/$60, I felt the need to try it. I kind of felt like a sucker getting the gram, but I had no way of knowing how good it really was and didn't want to get much if it wasn't. After a bowl I realized that the Bubba was indeed sleeping on its smelly end, but was still teaming with great flavor. It had a real nice Bubba after taste and left me stoned to the bone after just one snapper...1 hitter quitter worthy.

The OG X Nice Full Melt ($27.50/$55) is some amazing stuff. It's pliable, but not too pliable, similar to Laffy Taffy and a tad sticky to the touch. Its sweet, lung collapsing smoke, burns the throat gently on exhale and produces a long lasting euphoric sensation that permeates throughout the mind and body..wow! That's a mouthful. I found smoking it by itself over a screen will give you the best results.

Anyways, the gram of Master Bubba and half gram of OG Nice Full Melt ran me $52.50!! Kind of pricey, I should have clipped that damn coupon out of the Reader. Tom did weigh it up right though, 1.4 on the flowers and .7 on the hash..nice!, and he handled the full melt with gloves too! I will call upon this club again in the future, but they should really rethink those $25 grams. I almost forgot, for being a first time member they kick you down with a free eighth. It ain't the nicest eighth, but rolled in a blunt, who can tell the difference right??!!. I think Tom said it was Hindu Skunk. It was dark, not easy on the eyes, smelled like Hog Moss, and weighed out to 3.3, but hey it was free. A blunt of it took me back to the days before chronic, when we used to blow that Pretendica.

I actually stumbled across this club a while ago, probably within their first week of opening. They're located off of Turquoise St. and Mission Blvd. where Chronic Smoothies used to be. It was an easy check-in and from what I remember, I took home some nice buds. I'm pretty sure I got the Banana Kush and Blue Dream, both of which were quality meds. They also had some cheap outdoor Grape Ape that looked and smelled super bomb. Before I left I even told Skee to get on board with weedmaps so he could get the word out about the shop...and so I could write a review too. So instead of writing an ancient review I figured I'd just go and pay them a visit.

They're only about 4-5 blocks away from where I live, so convenience is definitely there. When I walked in, Skee remembered me right off the bat and even a BT who I hadn't met, knew of me and my reviews. I was also introduced to a chill little frenchy named Debo, who welcomed me into the club with a couple licks. I see they still have a fresh selection to chose from, along with a newly lowered cap. Donation prices now range from $20/$55 (their cap), down to some decent $50's and 45's. A good mix of indicas to sativas.

After inspecting the majority of their strains, I opted for the Super Skunk hybrid $20/$55. Let me tell you, these buds are a thing of beauty. Very light to lime green flowers with light brown-cashmere colored pistils. Medium denseness and a tad crisp, buds are frosted with milky trichs into a shade of white that screams WoW! There's a faint smell to this batch, but there's definitely some of that lemon/pine Jack Herrer odor lingering. I tasted citrus notes on the inhale while the exhale bares more of an earthy, spicy and smokey flavor. I'm loving the effects of this flower as a daytime dosage. It's not too much, but still potent enough to deliver some "couch lock" attributes. Especially when you smoke a joint of it like I did..lol. Yup, more than a couple bong loads and you'll start seeing the indica side to this strain.

For some reason I seem to have overlooked this place, I'll have to make it a point to check them out a lot more often. They sent me packin' too..on top of my Skunk, they threw in a couple halfmelt hash rocks ( which I haven't sampled yet and don't remember what he said it was) and a free pre-rolled (Skunk joint mentioned earlier). I'll be back!!

This club is conveniently located right down the street form where I work and has been known to carry some decent meds from time to time. The BT's are heavy-handed and always kick me down with free samples. Their flowers are capped at $60 and they offer an array of concentrates, tinctures, sodas, and other edibles.

On this occasion I was on the hunt for some decent blunt material for a nice after work sesh. There were two other members ahead of me so I had plenty of time to scope out their selection, which consisted of about 15-18 strains. While I looked over their strains, I noticed they had a new female BT (maybe she's not new, but she's new to me). Anyways, for some reason I felt like she was out of place. Besides being dressed provocatively, she didn't seem very knowledgeable of their house strains either. I really hope Horizon is not going in the whole "scantily clad female BT" direction..this does not make your product look any better. Most of their flowers on this visit were low-grade and looked like $40/$45's at the most. By the time it was my turn, I still hadn't found anything worth leaving with. Every container I opened seemed to smell the same as the one before. Their entire top shelf selection was rather depressing and I almost left without making a donation. This club seriously needs to rethink its donation prices if they're going to be offering such ugly erb. The Pure Kush I ended up getting was definitely not worth $60, but it was the best they had, I needed some relief, and I can't bring myself to smoke on crap. So..the Pure actually had a nice coat of powdery trichs and I was able to break it up easily with my bare hands (perfect for the blunt smoker on the run). I can't really comment on the taste, as the grape cigar I rolled it in overpowered any flavor it may have had. The buds do however have a nice scent to them, faint, but still present. I'd gladly come back for some more of this strain if they'd just lower the donation price by about $10

Came in to purchase one of their new Cal Med bongs and ended up leaving with some Weezy too.

The main purpose of my visit was to get this beautiful piece I saw on my last trip and had been thinking about ever since. Needless to say I couldn't wait much more than a couple days before I came back. What's so unique about this bong is that you cant buy one in a smoke shop, it's exclusively for MMJ patients..hell it even comes with a certificate of authenticity!! It's annealed by master level scientific glassblowers and believe you me, it hits like a dream! Go get yourself a little piece of history buddy. They go for like $250, but since I sprang for an eighth of their Weezy OG $25/$65, Adam dropped the bong down to $200 and kicked me down fat on the flowers!! The Weezy OG Adam showed me was soo fire I had to get it, even at the high donation price of $65 an eighth, this is the type of bud that forces you to swallow your pride and fork out the extra dough for a piece of something special. The Weezy is so stuntin, I mean bling bling! The trichs are just sparkling all over these buds, super sticky, gooey, and very hard to break up. The smell reeks of OG, intoxicating earthy, lemon and garlic notes. The taste doesn't really hit till the exhale and it has a spicy, garlicy, and hashy flavor to it. The head change was immediate and came on very strong. It had me feeling like my eyes were swollen and seeing fuzzy. Very relaxing, almost immobilizing, I was stuck on stupid for quite some time and hitting the sheets soon after.

If you're looking for a new piece you have to check out these new Cal Med bongs at GTS and while you're at it, pick up some of that Weezy and have something amazing to break it in with.

Whenever SDHHC adds new medicine to their menu, I feel it definitely merits a visit from their best customer ;).

They added like 6 new OG's and a bunch of other bomb like their Razzleberry Kush . I'm really loving the stench this strain produces. It's very unique and once smelled makes your mouth water a bit, sort of like Pixie Stix and Fun Dip. Their Private Reserve OG rivals any Planetary or Presidential I've seen. Super stinky earthy smell and taste. Plus the high acts as an awesome sedative allowing you some deep sleep when you need it.

So the new Lemon OG wax everyone's raving about, really is the business! At $25/$40, the gram is the only way to go. I promise you you'll be sorry if you only get a half. This stuff is a little easier to work with than say the Diesel Wax or Golden Child OG Wax because it's not as gooey and has more of a butter or paste consistency to it. It smells of citrus rinds and a mint similar to Vicks Vapor Rub. A fair glob of this wax on a bed of flowers will sizzle down and produce a thick white and super sweet smoke that tickles the nose hairs and lingers on the palate. Very lemony and spicy notes on the exhale as well. The head change is instantaneous and very overpowering. It will leave you literally "Dazed and Confused" for at least a couple hours before making its slow decent out of you. I believe this concentrate is probably some of the best sleep inducing medicine available at the moment. If you're foolish enough to medicate with this during the morning time, you might find yourself forgetting, postponing and daydreaming the day away. Trust me, I speak from experience..lol!

As always the boys aka Eddie, Ryan and Alex are more than hospitable and always let me break up my eighths 3, even 4 ways if I want. Hey, I need some variety in my life!! If you haven't been by in a while, come check them out again cause they have a bunch of new strains and concentrates right now and a lot more on the way.

California Best Meds

For my next review I had the pleasure of returning to one of my East County favorites, California's Best Meds. They're a bit of a ways away from where I live, but definitely worth a visit when in the area. If you're not paying attention you might have some trouble finding this place, as there aren't really any signs around. Just some lettering on the windows which can be a little difficult to read when you're driving by. Parking can also be a little tricky if you're not lucky enough to snatch up one of the spaces right outside their door. There's also some spots on University that are directly in front of the club as well.

Since I'm already a member at CBM, I didn't have to go through the verification process again, but from what I remember it was a pretty painless process. There were a couple patients ahead of me this time so there was a bit of a wait, but no more than about 10-15min. Besides, a lot of their members are real characters and there was plenty of funny stories and laughs going around. CBM's waiting room is equipped with a pair of plush couches, a TV that's always got something good on, and a security guard. It almost reminds me of my living room, minus the guard though.

Once inside, I was welcomed by all 4 members of their staff, who are super friendly and eager to help. Every time I come to this place it's always busy and I think it's pretty cool that they stock up on enough staff to keep the wait down to a minimum. On this visit I mostly dealt with Ray, who was very professional regarding my visit and took the time to break everything down for me.

Let me just come right out and say that CBM is bringing the Heat. I was very impressed with their selection and the quality of the medicine. They're carrying about 20 different strains at the moment and more than half of them are mouthwatering. A good mix of indicas and sativas ranging from $14/$35 to $20/$60 and 1 top shelf option (Diamond Kush) at $25/$65. They do have some ounce deals going, but were all in the 300+'s and not very appealing considering the donation price. They have a small selection of Hashables Brownies that range in potency and price $6/$20. The 20 dollar one has a gram and a half of hash in it! They have some real nice looking concentrates too, the Goo and Peanut Butter Wax ($25/$40) especially. They don't carry any tinctures, but they do have something called a "Fireless Joint" which is a blend of berries, honey, and T.H.C. in a plastic shaped joint that you squeeze into your mouth (wish I could have tried one). CMB doesn't carry any clones either :(, but what they do have is some killer flowers and deals throughout the week. Besides the gorgeous samples I picked, the Sour Diesel and OG stood out to me as well. Don't forget to bring their coupon out of the Reader.

Meds:

**Mendo Purp's (Indica $20/$60)**

My NugPorn pick and probably the best looking Mendo Purp I've seen in a hot one. Perfectly manicured and dense royal purple buds with very little green leaves and light orange almost copper pistils. The WOW factor is off the chain with this strain. It's chalk full of powdery and sparkly trichs that are practically sitting on top of eachother. The smell I got was really spicy, skunky, minty, and earthy with hints of candy purple (very pungent). It had a super smooth earthy taste that grabbed me by the throat and made me cough like crazy. I also tasted a sweet and spicy purp flavor on the exhale. The full effect took a couple minutes to hit and when it did, I was done. One hitter quitter status. I was left with a lazy, stupefied feel that made it hard for me to finish this review.

**Super Jack (Indica $20/$60)**

The Super Jack is so heavily loaded with trichs, it was hard to see any color other than a whitish tint. Only once you start breaking up the bud you could start to see some lime and olive green towards the center. Buds are a tad dense and feel moist and sticky to the touch, kind of like chewed gum. I got a citrus, pine and sweet scent that was a little faint for old Jacky boy. The taste was there, but also a bit faint. I was able to detect some small traces of sweet skunk and pine. The smoke was smooth while still very expandable in the lungs. The high was uplifting and felt mostly in the face; forehead, eyes and jaws. For a sativa, the high was a lot more powerful than I thought it would be, yet I was still able to perform at work.

**Diamond OG (Indica $25/$65)**

The first thing you notice about this gem is its smell. I couldn't get over how pungent this strain is, it's what OG is truly suppose to smell like. Spicy, musky, earthy, kushy, yup it was all there. Buds have an even blend of dark forest, olive and light green with orange-brown pistils. Buds are dense, slightly leafy and not very resistant to the pinch. Decent trich count, not very sugary looking, but still very sticky and bulging with swollen calyxes. It had a mildly robust taste that can only be described as an earthy, spicy, smokey flavor. The high blew my mind. I had my fuzzy vision on and just an all around euphoric feeling, good night.

Besides the 3 flowers, I was also given a sample of their Goo Wax $25/$40. This stuff is a little difficult to work with, especially for the inexperienced smoker, but so worth the extra effort. All you need is a little glob atop a bowl of erb and just hit it normally. The heat from the flame will melt the wax into the bud, infusing it, turning it into a longer lasting, even more potent, annihilating bowl. The color of the wax is a dark to medium brown, but when spread thin, takes on a golden, tan, yellowish look. It smells like sweet pine hash and tastes damn near identical.

As always, for all my findings I use an L.E.D. magnifying glass, 420 scope, sparkling clean 2 foot binger, bubbler, and V2 volcano vaporizer.

4.6 stars / out of 5.0 stars

For my fourth review I was sent to Cannabis Creations Wellness Cooperative in North Park. They're located on El Cajon Blvd., off of Texas and next door to Denny's. Not the nicest of neighborhoods and probably the reason behind the security guard out front. If it's your first time, be sure to have your rec. and ID ready because before the guard wands you, he will ask to see them both.

Once inside, I was greeted by a very friendly and professional girl working the front named Argelia. Their office consists of a couple chairs at a desk and a lazyboy for waiting patients. After signing a few sheets of paper, she had me verified and off to the nug room in a matter of minutes. It was there I met with one of their owners, Brent. He was also very professional and gave me the lowdown on the club. It sounds like they have some big plans in the works that even include a club masseuse! There aren't any places to sit in the nug room, but there's plenty to look at. I didn't even notice I was surrounded by live mother plants they had decorating the room. They also have an affectionate club dog (pit) that loves to greet and lick new members. Brent was very respectable and made sure it was ok with not just myself, but also with the other members in the club before letting her out.

CCW boasts a whopping 40+ strains that they categorize using a star system. 1 star being their lowest grade, starting at $5 a gram, (no price break) to their $25/$60 5 star options. I wasn't very impressed with their low end buds as they appeared poor in quality and mostly greenhouse/outdoor/organically grown (nothing against outdoor and organic bud), but I can see how someone who ISN'T picky, but on a tight budget can really benefit from this place. I was impressed with some of their 4's and most of their 5 star meds. Flowers can be inspected from small sample jars and with the use of a lit magnifying glass. Though flowers are pre-weighed, they will work with you if you want to split an eighth. They also carry an array of concentrates ranging from $15/$25 half melts and $25/$40 full melts to $30/$50 wax and $40/$60 amber glass. A nice selection of edibles from Greener Side, Auntie Dolores, and Cannabis Creations. Not to mention infused sodas, teas, hot sauce, BBQ sauce, olive oil, medical cream/lotion, bubble gum, and tinctures.

I really like the fact that they have specials throughout the day and incentives like a basketball game where you can win a free joint by making a basket. For every $100 you donate, you get one shot and let me tell you, it doesn't look very hard.

On my way out, Brent also gave me a tour of their "still in progress" grow room. For all of you looking for clones, CCW is currently carrying (phenom)Cherry AK and Lambs Bread.

I will come back to visit CCW when in the area and you'd better believe I'll be practicing my free-throws..lol.

Meds:

**Cotton Candy Bubba (Indica $25/$60)**

A gorgeous representation of this strain, the CCB from CCW has a combination of lime green with olive to dark green leaves and sporadic clusters of dark orange to amber pistils. Slathered in milky/gooey trichs, flowers almost appear to have a white tint to them. While the buds have a fluffy look, they're surprisingly dense. The smell I got was definitely more of an earthy bubba aroma with light sugary/candy notes that become more apparent with a little squeeze. On the inhale I was able to detect those same sugary notes with an expandable kushy exhale and aftertaste. It left me with a very heavy headed high that lingered around my temple, back of my head and neck. It also had me feeling pretty loose and restless, couldn't really relax.

**L.A. Confidential (Indica $25/$60)**

The first thing you notice about this strain is its long, stringy, dark red pistils. Mostly dark green with a hint of purple, these buds are super powdery with brilliant bulbous trichomes that add to the flowers WOW factor. I could definitely smell an earthy OG scent coming off these nugs, mixed with a touch of skunk and mint. The buds are a bit crisp, but very sticky and resistant to the squeeze. The taste was extremely smooth and sweet. I tasted spicy, minty, hashy, earthy notes as well. The high was pretty mellow and is more of a creeper. Starting with a tingly brain and facial feeling, then working its way into a nice body high that I felt mostly in my shoulders and arms. I feel this strain could almost have some sativa in it.

**Crystal (Sativa Dom. Hybrid $25/$60)**
(white widow X northern lights)

Fluffy, leafy, and sparse with a moist feel. Buds are light and olive green with dark green leaves and light brownish/cashmere colored pistils. The smell I got from this flower is intoxicating and incredibly pungent. Besides the obvious aroma of mint leaves, I picked up some spicy/earthy notes that tingled my nose as well (similar to Vick's Vapor Rub). The taste was more on the mild side and not very minty at all. The smoke was smooth, but not very expandable in my lungs. I did receive an immediate head rush after exhaling that left me rather cloudy and light headed. Great AM med.

**White Widow (Sativa Dom. Hybrid $15/$40)**

Mostly dark forest green with light brown to orange hairs. Though covered in clear and milky trichs down to the stem, buds are pretty dry and crisp to the touch. It's also not very sticky or resistant to the pinch, but easily broken up for vaping or rolling. It had a smell that reminded me of a garden, soil, plants, and vegetables (very outdoorsy). Pretty tasteless with light spicy and grassy notes on the exhale. For being a sativa dominate strain, the high left me rather relaxed and glued to the couch. There were some heady/spaced out vibes, but I would say this particular strain has more of an indica feel to it.

The two full melt samples I was given (Trinity & Head Band $25/$40) were both high in potency and left me SPUN, for lack of a better word. After the initial head high, I began to feel very relaxed and lazy eyed. They were both light in color, mostly golden brown with some dark brown patches on the outside. Soft, but not very pliable and easily crumbled. They both bubbled a bit when melted down and produced a sweet smelling aroma and taste. Both extremely expandable on the lungs and caused deadly coughing fits that sent warm vibes through my entire body. Excellent for insomnia, especially the Trinity.

Their $12/10x Auntie Dolores chocolate-peanut butter brownies are a lot more tasty than some of the regular brownies I've eaten from bakery's or candy stores around town. I find it hard to believe that there's .75 of a gram of cannabis sativa in them. For some reason I have a high tolerance for edibles made with canna-butter or oil and need at least a .25 gram of hash in mine to get me where I need to be. I'll tell you what though, after about an hour, old Auntie D got right on top of me. It started with some mild mind and body vibes which I thought were the peak of the brownie's effects, to an intense warming sensation/surge that left me annihilated for a good 3 hours. The come down left me pretty groggy and I was soon ready for bed. Great edible for the patient who doesn't care for the taste of cannabis.

I was also given a sample of their newly acquired Relief X tincture to try. The $12/2ml sample bottle carries 30 sprays and at 8-10 sprays per dosage, will medicate you about 3-4 times. Their larger 1oz. bottle will run you $80! I squirted 9 sprays under my tongue and let it marinate there for about 5 minutes before swallowing. This was my first tincture experience and I must say I was pretty disappointed. Almost 3 hours after administering the proper dosage, I felt nothing. I don't know, maybe I'm immune to this stuff.

As always, for all my findings I use a L.E.D. magnifying glass, 420 scope, sparkling clean 2 foot binger, bubbler, and V2 volcano vaporizer.

PACIFIC BEACH 420 CARE CENTER

3.0 stars / out of 5.0 stars

I have definitely stayed away from this place because of all the negative reviews. It's funny, I feel as if I've already been to PB420 without actually having to go. The reason behind my visit, believe it or not, was to get a sick shirt for the Bob Fest..lol..and at the same time, check out their meds.

Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly girl working the front who made some small talk while I filled out the necessary paperwork and waited for my turn. I noticed some seedless gear they were selling on the other end of the room and had a looksy. I had no idea that this was only a mere sample of the clothing and merchandise they offer. When I walked into the nug room, I was first shocked at the shear size of the place..complete with clone room, 2 huge clothing racks busting with shirts and sweaters, and the longest bar I've ever seen (where the BT's stand behind). That's where I met Chuck aka Cheese the BT, who seemed a little out of it at the time (in his own little world). He was an older guy and was having some trouble hearing and answering my questions...I really thought the guy was drunk or something until he pointed to an empty medical soda he had been swigging on. After realizing this, I cut Cheese some slack and let him do his thing...he actually turned out to be a cool guy.

After scoping out the selection, I must say I was very unimpressed. They only had 1 indica out of like 13-14 strains and they were all lacking in luster. I didn't want to leave without trying something so I went with an gram of their Goo, which was surprisingly decent for 20/50. The Goo had a plethora of gooey trichs and a smell that told my brain: GET THIS! Cheese ended up giving me the gram for $15, which is nice (I'm thinking this was my first time freebie).

After making my med donation, it was on to the thread donation. I ended up finding a tight sweater and a shirt for the Fest!! and Cheese hooked it up. He gave me like $15 off the sweater and $5 off the shirt. At least I know where to go now for some fresh gear!

After further inspection of the Goo, I found it to be lacking in potency and taste. The high was very weak for an indica and I almost feel this strain is a sativa dominate hybrid of some sort. The taste was awful, I couldn't taste much more than some spicy-peppery notes that came through on the exhale..plus it was harsh on the throat and lungs. What a beautiful looking strain though. If the taste was there and the high was stronger/longer, then I would probably be back to see my old pal Cheese again. Unfortunately, unless I'm looking for some new seedless shirts, I will have to pass.

San Diego Holistic Healing.....NEW 55 1/8th CAP!!!!!

When I was notified that SDHHC was going to be the focus of my next review, I was all smiles. Apart from being one of my favs, this club is literally 5 blocks from where I live, so as far as location and convenience goes, they get a 5 hands down. If you're not familiar with the area, just remember...they're located at the south end of La Jolla Blvd., in between two roundabouts, and behind the Cass St. Cafe & Bakery.

Their waiting room is always clean and well kept. Plus there's a couple of cumfy couches and plenty of reading material to go around. Once inside their nug room you'll see another one of those cumfy couches, a flat screen, and a couple of real stand-up guys. Ryan and Alex are two of the most professional and compassionate BT's around. Check this out; I was a little short on loot one day and Ryan actually pulled out a couple of bucks from his own pocket so I could get the eighth I wanted!! Now that's compassion! Usually when I stop by Holistic Healing I'm in and out, but on this occasion I decided to hangout a bit and chat it up with the fellas. Which was actually pretty cool because I got to learn more about their operation and see them in action, attending to other members.

When I finally got around to choosing my samples, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to try. Two strains in particular; their Swiss Cheese and Candy Purple. My third pick was of course their SkyWalker OG aka my "Life Saver". I've literally been smoking on this stuff for the last two months and there's no signs of tolerance build-up at all. It's also been doing wonders for my insomnia. I also noticed they have some pretty bomb looking Headband, Romulan, and Fire Bubba all at $50/eighth. I actually stopped in again since my NugPorn visit to pick up some of their new Afgoo at $40/eighth, I got the quad for $65!! Which was due to the price break at a quarter ($75) and of course the Sunday discount. Just when I thought things couldn't get any better at SDHHC, they go ahead and drop their cap to $55!! Yes, they still have 3 private reserve strains capped at $25/$65 which is pricey I know, but there's plenty of other cheaper meds that are just as good, if not better. If for some reason you have to get one of those P.R. strains, get it on a Sunday and save yourself 5 bucks and a whole lot of grief.

Holistic Healing also carries a solid selection of tinctures, edibles, and concentrates. I have yet to try their tinctures, but have heard they're pretty potent. Their edibles are the bomb, especially their Greenerside quarter gram snicker doodles. They put me down like a tranquilized animal and for the amount of hash that's in them, they're super tasty. I've tried just about everyone of their concentrates and would have to say that their Diesel Wax and Powdered Hash Oil standout the most to me.

On to the samples...

**SkyWalker OG (Indica $20/$50)**

My absolute favorite of the OG variants and NugPorn pick. The earthy OG kush smell this flower gives off, completely dominates its Blueberry X Mazar counterpart. Even when burned, it emits a pungent musky odor that can be smelled a block away..lol..no joke. I could only get a whiff of blueberries when I gave the flower a little squeeze and smelled my fingers. The larger buds are a little leafy, but act as shields, protecting clusters of precious trichome villages within the flower. It has a super sticky and moist feel to it which makes it almost impossible to break up with your bare hands. Mostly light and olive green with thin amber pistils protruding from its core. The intense earthy taste you get through a filtered bubbler/bong is incredible and through my vape, I was still able to taste it on my pallet 5 min. after exhaling. The high is also equally amazing. I'm able to get sound sleep off this strain, but don't smoke it right before you go to bed because there's a pretty intense rush for the first 30 or so minutes before you begin to feel its drowsy effects. It's also very good for pain relief and stimulating your appetite.

**Swiss Cheese (Hybrid $25/$65)**

This Cheese cross definitely has got that stinky parmesan thing going on, but to me it was more like the parmesan that comes with to-go pizza, than the fresh stuff. It's super light green with patches of purple and dark orange hairs scattered throughout its swollen calyxes. Oh, and this cheese is totally trich'd out! I didn't really like its texture though. I felt it was a bit dry and chalky and crumbled too easily when I gave it a little squeeze. The taste is also off, I was expecting some funky fromunder cheese, but there was none. Through the vape, I was able to detect a hint of cheesiness, but it was very faint. After smoking I felt an immediate head float type rush that also invaded the muscles in my face and arms. Not very stoney though, I would say it's more of a sativa dominate hybrid.

**Candy Purple (Indica $18/$50)**

I don't know the true lineage of this strain, but if I had to guess, I would say it's a Cotton Candy Kush X'd with Purple Urkle. Though its smell is a lot more similar to that of the Grape Ape. It kind of smells like some of that lavender fabric softener with hints of grape candy. Buds are almost completely purple with tiny light green leaves emerging from the stem. With its golden brown pistils and long milky trichs, the Candy Purple definitely has some WOW factor. The taste was a little on the mild side and a lot more earthy than fruity. The high left me pretty zoned out, but not very sleepy. It did however bring me down enough to where I could relax and unwind after a long night at work.

As always, for all my findings I use a L.E.D. magnifying glass, 420 scope, sparkling clean 2 foot binger, bubbler, and V2 volcano vaporizer.

San Diego Organic Collective Inc (SDOC)

The next stop on my review tour was San Diego Organic Collective. A club I had always intended on checking out, but never quite actually got around to doing so. To tell you the truth, I think I've been hesitant due to some of the recent reviews I've read. Anyways, I'm glad I was finally able to make my way out to SDOC.

They're located in Point Loma, off of Nimitz, pretty close to Point Loma Seafood Co. and next door to the Brigantine (if you're familiar with the area). They were fairly easy to find and there's a huge parking lot just past them on the right.

Once inside I was greeted by two friendly ladies working the front, which in turn quickly verified me and sent me to the waiting area (got some free bottled water too). Their waiting room consists of two conjoined areas; equipped with flat screen, about 4-5 rasta colored couches, a couple chairs, table, and magazines. With all the places to sit, it kind of makes you think this place can get pretty busy at times. They even had a little flow going at 2:30pm on a Tuesday! I was a little surprised that they allowed up to three members at a time in the nug room, even with only 1 BT, and a narrow nug room at that. I really didn't mind the small wait though, it allowed me some time to peruse. They had what looked like a 52inch flat screen displaying the menu, some mother plants sitting pretty, just waiting for the dollar/clone days. A large selection of brownie/bar type edibles, candies, and sodas, but no concentrates. Apparently the local law enforcement asked them to 86 the hash??? Bummer! I rely on concentrates sometimes to provide me with the potency I need when in the midst of an insomniatic attack. I hope this is not a trend, I'm losing sleep already!

SDOC is truly a club that has something for everyone. Whether you have $25-$30 to spend on a eighth or $50-$60, you'll definitely find something decent for that price range. The cheapest gram is $10 and capped at $20, cheapest eighth is $25 and capped at $60. A fair amount of their flowers are greenhouse/outdoor grown, but appropriately priced. I actually saw a couple inexpensive strains that looked damn good..I know where I'm going to get my blunt material from now! I was a bit disappointed that they no longer had any of the strains pictured on weedmaps, so unfortunately they're not eligible for a NugPorn review. The BT told me when choice strains arrive, they tend to fly off the shelves. In the half hour I was there I saw maybe 5-6 other members donate, all looking for bud they were 12 hours late for. The BT was pretty cool about it and let me handpick my 3 samples. I went with 2 indicas and 2 hybrids (the fourth sample was some shake and tiny kernels of Cotton Candy Bubba the BT salvaged for me to try). This club definitely needs to invest in a nice magnifying glass w/ light. They're currently providing a couple of low magnification pocket thingamajiggies that don't emit enough light and are better for a person with bad eyesite than for someone checking trich count and color.

On to the medicine.

**Platinum Purple (Indica $20/$50)**

My favorite of the samples I was given and probably would've been my NugPorn pick. The first thing you notice about this strain is its color. The buds are predominantly dark purple/violet brushed with dark green and small patches of light green, surrounded by beautiful tan/orange pistils. Flowers are neatly trimmed and have a nice sparkle to them. The smell is very earthy, foresty even, with a hint of purp. Very GDPish if I may say so myself. Extremely earthy and spicy tones on the taste, and the faint flavor of purp. The high was immediately felt moving through my head, muscles, and joints..very relaxing and left me glued to the couch with heavy eyelids. PM med all the way.

**Betsy (Hybrid $20/$50)**

The Betsy has a very unique smell. A sweet and sour, cat piss, lemon grass scent with hints of earth and spice. It has a powdery olive green look, very sparse/airy, pretty leafy and didn't see too many of its thin, dark red pistils. Betsy is literally frosted with trichs and they appear to be fighting over the limited leaf space. Sadly I couldn't get any taste out of her, even when vaped I wasn't able to zero in on any flavors. All I got was a woody/bonfire aftertaste that was not very enjoyable. It took a while before I really began to feel its effects which I felt were pretty mild and mostly heady. I would definitely still be able to perform at work while medicated on this strain.

**Blue Dream (Hybrid $20/$50)**

Not the best smelling Blue Dream I've smelled, I got more of a sage/spice/herb scent than the fruity/citrus aroma this stain usually packs. Buds are bright, light green and loaded with pumpkin orange hairs. A little leafy, but delicious looking with its glowing powdery trichs. However, the taste was pretty bland and left a grassy/outdoor flavor in my mouth. I felt a quick head change after one bowl, but it wasn't very intense. I would say this strain is sativa dominate and could be taken as an AM med.

**Cotton Candy Bubba (Indica $20/$60)**

I wish I could've tried a better sample of this strain. I'd be lying if I said I was able to make a professional determination on its quality. With the sample being mostly shake and a few corn sized kernels, I was only able to detect a faint sugary smell similar to its moniker. Under my microscope the light green pebbles looked like shiny little Christmas trees adorned with chocolate/burgandy colored pistils. Its taste shared some of those same sugary tones I picked up in its odor and a real smooth aftertaste. The high was heavy and extremely cerebral. I felt like taking a nap soon after medicating.

As always, for all my findings I use a L.E.D. magnifying glass, 420 scope, sparkling clean 2 foot binger, bubbler, and V2 volcano vaporizer.

California's Finest Cooperative

(619) 238-4200

3.8 stars / out of 5.0 stars

For my first assignment I was sent to CFC in Downtown, right by City College. It's located on the corner of Broadway and 12th. which is kind of a crummy intersection. If there's a bus picking up people at the stop in front, you just might miss it when you pass by. We all know there's no parking on Broadway and the next street (12th.) runs parallel with the trolley tracks..so, you might have to park a block or so away and walk. I used to go to school down the street, so I'm no stranger to the homeless or the countless weirdos that patrol the area..so for safety reasons, you might want to get this particular errand done before sun-down.

Once inside I noticed the place seemed pretty basic..a little rundown, but room for improvement. I was quickly verified and sent through two doors where I met with the owner and two BT's. All three seemed chill and welcomed me into their coop. The bud room was pretty average as well, though they did have a flat screen displaying the menu and cloudy sky for a ceiling. The owner already had a good idea of what strains he wanted me to sample (all indicas) and I decided to go with his choices except for one, as I wanted to try one of their sativas (nothing against the third sample;). I also ended up inspecting a good amount of their 20 something strains, most of which were in the $50-$60 range and fairly decent (wish they had a magnifying glass w/ light to better inspect). The cap here is $60, with the exception of two private reserve strains aka their "Master P's" which are $25g with no price cut, so 3g's will run you $75!!?? or $70 I think one of the BT's said. Gotta say though, the Blueberry Master P just might actually be worth it. Supposedly, this strain is a rarity and the Owner said that he even has members that drive down from LA weekly just for the P.

I saw a couple different types of kief that looked decent at $20g, some full melt $30g, and Honey Infusion which is Honey OG bud soaked in hash oil at $40g, no half grams. Wish I could of tried some.

Though they don't carry brownies, cookies, or edibles of that nature, they do have the largest selection of cereal treats I've ever seen and these things are huge (about half the size of a brick). Made with canna-butter and at only 5 bucks a pop, I was really curious as to the potency of these edibles..wish I could of tried one of those too. Oh, and they don't carry tinctures here either. They do however carry an assortment of cigar wraps, which is convenient if you're into that sort of thing. They also have a small display of bubblers that they're practically giving away. Besides the 3 strains I was given, the owner also hooked me up with one of their club shirts that had some pretty cool designs on it.

Ok, I've kept you waiting long enough, on to the important stuff!!

**BLUEBERRY MASTER P (INDICA)**

My favorite of the three and Nugporn pick. I love this strain!! First off, it's dense as hell, I mean like a rock. The 1.1 gram nugget I received looked no bigger than the size of a quarter, but a little snapper of this stuff goes a long way. I have never smelled a better blueberry strain, but you can definitely tell there's a little more to it than that. Besides the hint of nuts, I also got a whiff of raisins, dates, and prunes. It kinda smells like a bag of trail mix with dried fruit. Sticky would be an understatement, this bud is so rich with trich's, when you go to smoke a bowl, you practically have to tear one off instead of breaking it. Dark golds and greens with a touch of violet, and its golden/orange pistils take up a good amount of surface area as well. Trich formation just doesn't get any better, they were so well pronounced inside and out, mostly milky and very few amber. The grower plucked this bunch at the peak of its harvest point. The taste is almost identical to the smell, just a little fainter and it hits hardest on the exhale. Speaking of the exhale, when I ripped a bowl of it and held it in my lungs, it didn't seem very expandable, but as soon as I blew it out, there was a brief moment before I began to cough that lung up! During my coughing fit, my whole head felt overheated and my cheeks got super red. After a couple more minutes I realized how gone I really was. I felt an intense rush all through my head for about 20-30 minutes before it began to fade just enough for me to actually relax. I couldn't even really sit down for those 20-30 min., but after that, the body high began to take its effect leaving me pretty droopy eyed and lazy. I slept like a baby last night and woke up five hours later for work feeling great!

**PURPLE MASTER P (INDICA)**

Similar to the Blueberry Master P with it's nuttiness, but with the faint smell of the purp instead of dried fruit. For some odd reason it kinda smells like brand new carpet!..lol. The owner said the grower is keeping the exact cross of this strain a secret, but he did say there was some Lavender in there. The Purple is not as dense as the Blue, but it still has a nice texture and sponginess to it. Mostly dark greens and purples with small patches of light green and purple. Nugs are overwhelmed with brownish/orange pistils and a decent coat of trich's..not as sticky as the Blue though. The smoke had a mild taste to it, but burned the hell outta my nose and expanded my lungs like crazy on the exhale, I coughed my brains out..again. The high took a while to really settle in, it kind of felt like it was a foggy day in my head with some clouds on the horizon. Only some of you will actually get what the hell I meant by that!..lol. It's still a great indica and will give you some piece of mind, but if you're going to get some Master P, get the Blue.

**DURBAN POISON (SATIVA)**

The first thing I noticed about this African beauty was its extremely strong, sweet minty, licorice odor. Big, fluffy/bubbly light green buds with light golden pistils. Another thing I noticed was it seemed like there were more trich's visible inside than out (over handling??). The poison also had a good spongy texture, spongy with just the right amount of denseness and not dry at all. Not really much taste though, I tasted peppery flavors on the exhale and it burned my throat a bit. It delivered a mellow high though, real facial, especially around the eyes..tingly even. Had my fuzzy vision on for a couple hours. Excellent AM med as it allows you to feel medicated without the intense drowsiness an indica can give you.

As always, for all my findings I use a L.E.D. magnifying glass, 420 scope, sparkling clean 2 foot binger, bubbler, and V2 volcano vaporizer.

This was my first time back to HTC since my last visit about 4 months ago and I'm not gonna lie, I've stayed away from this place for one reason: DONATION CAP. They were asking as high as 70 bucks for an eighth and top shelf grams were ranging anywhere from $25-$30!!!! Well, I caught wind from a neighboring club that HTC had dropped their cap..drastically. So I felt compelled to go back and give them another shot.

I wasn't sure if they'd remember me, but as soon as I walked through the door Russ spotted me, knew exactly who I was, and I kinda got the feeling he'd been expecting me. No hard feelings about any past reviews were expressed. In fact, he actually appreciated my honesty and seemed very eager to show me how things have changed at HTC, for the better.

Love their new selection of clones. They have a great mix of hybrids varying in dominance. Each appeared healthy and well rooted. They also have a wide assortment of edibles from Califorganics and Greener Side.

From what I saw they had about 20 strains available. Suggested donation price is $45/eighth for the majority of their flowers with the exception of 4 which were listed at $55, but these are 4 gramers so you're still getting a pretty good deal out of it. I think I inspected just about every strain they had and most looked like $45-$50 flowers except for about 5 which were above average. I ended up going with an eighth of Cotton Candy Kush and an eighth of Lemon Kush (which is not on the menu?) both strain's are 45ers so I got the quarter for $90. I also wanted to try some of their SkyWalker OG Bubble Hash cause I heard it was only $25 a gram. Russ ended up giving me everything for $110, but when it came time to make my donation, things got a little strange. They state on weedmaps that they take debit cards and they do, but there's a catch...they tax you on it. I ended up paying an extra $9 for using my card! Be sure to bring cash when you come here.

(The Lemon Kush I got looks so crazy. Mega fluffy buds with light and dark green's and rose colors and they're literally caked with trichomes, especially the smaller nugs. Nice citrus scent, but no citrus taste. To me this strain felt more sativa dominant.)

(The Cotton Candy Kush is more of a dense strain comparable to a Bubba type Kush with earthy, garden, citrus smells. Good trich count and a matching earthy taste to boot. Sativa dom. all the way with this strain too..smoked the Cotton Candy all day today and don't feel the least bit tired.)

(The bubble hash I got wasn't very pliable and crumbled easily when I tried to press it together. I squeezed out a little pancake and smoked it over a titanium screen in my bong. Sadly it did not bubble or even melt for that matter. Potency seemed off as well.)

Overall, I'm happy with what HTC is doing and when I'm tapped for cash, believe you me, I will be back, but I guess I'm the type of person who doesn't mind paying $60, just as long as I'm getting something beautiful and at the same time potent as hell! Anyways, Russ is a hella cool cat and should be commended for is stellar service..If you haven't been to HTC or it's been a while since your last visit, go check em out cause things really have changed for the better.
